Today I was
encouraged by someone to read the gospel everyday and here it is my first reflection
of the Gospel for today.
Before I start,
for those who do not know, the Apostles Peter and Paul are commemorated today.
We all know that the two are good disciples of God. They had striven really hard in order to follow the words of God and to be always observant in His words. This is why they have won the favor of God. These two have surely shown great faith in God as their master and savior. Amidst the problems and trials that they have faced during that time, they were able to keep their faith.

If you
will be asked how strong your faith in God is, how would you answer it? Or the
easier question would be, do you trust God? Most of the time, when we encounter
problems in life, our faith are moved or troubled. We usually doubt if God have
seen our despair and would He really help us.
In all
times, you need to hold on to your faith. We should not doubt for if we doubt,
we are somehow saying that we do not believe in God when He said that “I will always
be with you, I will never forsake you”. Surely, God is in every one of us.
There are times that we might think that God is afar, but actually it is not
God who is far, but it is us building the distance from God. The Gospel today
simply reminds us that we need to hold on our faith just as what Peter and Paul
had shown in the past.
